AUSSIE WOMEN OVER 55 LEAD ONLINE GAMING

As a result of more digital entertainment options, Australians are consuming more content and changing how they consume it.

While many people think the average online gamer is young and male, recent research by Neilson has revealed that baby boomers make up nearly a quarter of Australia’s 14.5 million gamers — more than any other age category.

Interestingly, Australian women dominate the number of players with a unique audience of 1.9 million. They spend an average of almost 16 hours gaming each month, mainly playing games like Candy Crush Saga, Words With Friends and Pokemon Go.

More than likely, this is the same demographic that is driving the revenue in your club.
