The Gaming Technologies Association (GTA), the organiser of the Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE), has confirmed that this year’s Australasian Gaming Expo Seminars will go ahead in a new format online.

Over three afternoons, on 11-13 August 2020, the sessions will be broadcast online and then be available on-demand for a period after the event.

Organised by GTA and Asia Gaming Brief (AGB), here’s a taste of what will be covered in this year’s seminars:

  • Some of Australia’s leading analysts will cover the Australian and Asian gaming industry to discuss how the economy, consumer spending and behaviour, and gaming habits have changed as a result of the Covid-19 economic crisis.
  • Legal experts from Australia and across the world will give insights into what legal challenges have been faced globally due to the pandemic, and how Australian operators can avoid those pitfalls.
  • SkyCity’s Matthew Ballesty, Executive General Manager, will provide an exclusive inside tour of their Auckland flagship property. We’ll hear about the changes made in their gaming and non-gaming business units, including challenges and lessons learned.
  • We’ll hear from a well known Australian food writer, and two of Australia’s leading experts on food and dining trends, and also changes to the culinary and hospitality world as a result of Covid-19.
