ELEMENT SECURITY LAUNCH THERMAL TEMPERATURE RECOGNITION SYSTEM

It goes without saying that the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way all businesses operate, and Pubs and Clubs are no exception. We at Element Security have been working with Clubs and Pubs for over 12 years now and our focus has been to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to Electronic Security Solutions.

Much like all the Clubs and Pubs as well as the companies that work with them, we too have had to rethink our business and the ways in which our existing technology can be repurposed to suit the post COVID-19 world. Core to this is having Pubs and Clubs recommence operating as soon as possible and to do so in such a way that both staff and patrons are safe and well protected.

Element Security has been working diligently with the development team at NiroVision (our Facial Recognition Software Partner) over the past few months with a view to integrate thermal cameras into our existing Facial Recognition Solutions. We are proud to announce that have now developed a fully functional Thermal Temperature Recognition System with mobile alerting capability.

The software uses dedicated thermal cameras to measure each individual’s temperature. If the software detects a person with a temperature over a certain base line (for example 37.5 °C), it will then send a mobile notification to the floor and security managers alerting them to the incident. Notifications include a video clip for managers to be able to view which individual is indicating a high temperature and take action accordingly.

Of course, this is not an infallible solution because most infectious diseases, including COVID-19, have an incubation period where the individual is contagious before showing symptoms. It is however an effective tool that can be used to mitigate the risks associated with resuming operations post COVID-19.
