Last month, on what was a sparkling day on Sydney’s Central Coast, the Drop hosted a Wine School Workshop at Fisherman’s Wharf Restaurant, Woy Woy. The family owned waterfront restaurant has been awarded a glass by both the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide and Gourmet Traveller Wine Magazine.
The Wine School Workshop was hosted by a talented group of sommeliers from Vintage & Vine, led by Michaela Clayton and Nick Bath.
There are 5 video modules in the workshop and we’ll be releasing a new module each week that build into a complete workshop. All videos are available for Drop Members in the Members Only section after log in.
However we thought we’d give all our readers a small “tasting”, just to sample what a Drop workshop is like. Click here to enjoy now >>
This video we’re sharing for a short time only is DRINKING TRENDS. It is presented by Nick Bath an international wine expert with Chevalier l’ordre des Coteaux de Champagne and Confreries des Vins d’Alsace titles to his name. Nick began his career in hotel management in the UK before moving into wine sales and management and is now general manager of importer and wholesaler, Vintage & Vine in Sydney.
Other modules in the Wine School Workshop include:
- Wine List Compilation and Costing
- Food & Wine Matching and
- Wine Regions of France and Australia
