GAMING UPDATE: FRESH GAMES & PRE-CHRISTMAS ORDERS

The new games continue to roll into the market for most of the manufacturers.   Even though we are getting close to Christmas, remember the manufacturers all have factory shutdowns that will mean you only have a few weeks left to place orders, or you won’t be able to get delivery until almost February. With so many great game choices there are plenty of options that will add to the variety of games on your floor.

There are a couple of issues that need to be considered at the moment when purchasing:

  • Most clubs are seeing their turnover results only a 3-4% above last year’s results for most of the year but even less growth, if at all, in their net profit. This is because many of the new games that have gone into clubs over the last 12 months have a much higher return to player percentage than the old games that have been traded out so the hold is contracting, even though they are drawing lots of extra turnover. By having a variety of games on the floor that capture as many markets as possible you can keep this difficulty in control.
  • Many of us have concentrated on purchasing games from one manufacturer over the last year. We had to because the product was the leading group of games in the market. In many cases though the other manufacturers products have been left to drop and with most of them now offering product that competes quite well , it’s worth taking another look.

Here are a couple of games that will add something different to your gaming room:

Manufacturer Game Performance Notes
IGT Multistar Champion Series – Platinum Ranked among the top few hotel games. 1.6 times the hotel average. Great multigame option for hotels. Currently outperforming Lightning Cash/Link games in hotels.
IGT/Maxgaming Multistar Megabucks Gold 1.8 times the NSW average Released in the new crystal machine so you can add it to your state-wide link. Awesome performance and the first dual game pack for this link. The largest jackpot in the industry with over $7m won on the top jackpot so far.
Aristocrat 5 Dragons Empire 1.7 times the NSW state average for clubs. Expensive, but you can’t argue with 5 different 5 dragons games in the one machine. The new 5 Dragons Rapid and the $1 version are both drawing interest.
Scientific Games Lock It Link Strong performance in both clubs and hotels Four new games available now have lifted the performance of this link.
Scientific Games Locked and Loaded Just released to clubs, the new SAP version of Lock It Link, has been strong in hotels. Perfect for those small and medium sized clubs that don’t want to add a large link to the floor but can now access these great games as SAPs
AGT Golden Lion, Gold Zone, Triple Shot King Spin, Thunder Gold, Thunder Money All well above average state performance levels. Have released lots of new games for all their product line that mean you can access good conversions for older stock while negotiating new machine purchases
Konami Genies Gold Jackpots, Mystic Wolf, Savannah Gold Generally above floor average A good choice for the regular player who is often forgotten these days. Lots of game variety to offer
IG Fortune Star, Lady Moon Small numbers but good performances in the right space. Lots of new games being released for the new machine.
Aruze Tokyo Rose Always New version of an old favourite Strong maths base for the smaller player
Aristocrat/Maxgaming Good Fortune Link Strong results esp. in clubs. Two dual games, familiar to players, with a third game (Path to Riches) released this week. Great for regular players chasing the 100K plus jackpot.
