ON THE MOVE: THE STAR’S NEW HEAD OF FOOD & BEVERAGE
The Star Sydney has appointed Dino Mezzatesta to the newly created role of chief operating officer (COO) of hotels, food & beverage and retail.
Responsible for overseeing the strategic vision for the leisure and entertainment assets at The Star Sydney, Mezzatesta will lead the hotel, retail, food and beverage and property services teams to enhance the venue’s offering and deliver growth.
The Star Sydney managing director Greg Hawkins said he is delighted to have Mezzatesta on board, especially as The Star is undergoing redevelopment to boost it’s hotel, food and beverage and retail offering.
“With more than 30 years’ experience in the corporate travel and leisure markets, Mr Mezzatesta is deeply experienced in hospitality and hotel management, team leadership and setting solid strategic direction,” Hawkins said.
Dino was previously Chief Executive Officer of Accor Plus Asia Pacific, AccorHotels’ travel, dining and lifestyle program.
Mezzatesta said he is looking forward to commencing his new role at The Star in December.
