SIMON SINEK – MOST LEADERS DON’T EVEN KNOW THE GAME THEY’RE IN

Simon Sinek became famous on YouTube a few years ago for describing why Millennials struggle in the workplace and why we fail to manage them effectively.

In this video he describes a manager’s attitude to staff and the leadership skills that can translate directly into a positive customer focus for both service and corporate businesses.

It is a perfect reminder for existing senior managers in our industry about defining which “game we are in”, as well as a thought-provoking learning opportunity for new managers moving through the change from “staff member” to “management” and how those roles differ.

Trust and cooperation are not standard in our organizations and yet we know they should be. There are two attributes that every single leader has the opportunity to possess that will help them create the types of organizations we would be proud to call our own. Those two attributes are EMPATHY & PERSPECTIVE
