1. Your name, your club and your position.

Margaret Affleck, Kedron-Wavell Services Club,  Duty Manager

  1. What is your biggest or has been your biggest challenge with the club and your role?

Working with the many staff we have and their variety of personalities.

  1. What have been some of your achievements or highlights since being at the club?

Growing in the role of Duty Manager, being able to connect with a wide variety of networks and just learning something new every day.

  1. Is there a piece of advice or something compelling you have learnt that you can pass on to our readers and up and coming managers?

Always have an open mind and learn from those around you. Everyone will have some knowledge to pass on either be small or large.

  1. Outside of the club and your role there, do you have any hobbies or passions? Tell us a bit about you.

I enjoy running away when I can for a day trip or a sneaky weekender with either hubby or girlfriends.

My passion is my family and friends. My grandsons keep me on my toes. We have a dog and a cat who are spoilt and treated like princesses.

I follow the NRL and get right into the state of Origin as we back QLD and the Kids back NSW so can be a very interesting time to watch together.

I live on the north side of Brissy much better than the south side. I collect Buddhas have one in every room. Our door is always open to family and friends.
