SYDNEY UNI – TECHNOLOGY, RISK AND GAMBLING WEBINARS
Sydney university, through their Brain and Mind Centre has a series of one-hour seminars that include discussions with thought leaders worldwide, speaking on a wide range of topics relevant to stakeholders interested in understanding how design and emerging technologies impact gambling, including risky decision making and behaviours, and implications for research, policy, and practice.
The international expert speakers bring a range of backgrounds and experiences from multidisciplinary fields.
The current season, Season 5, we hear from leading experts from outside the gambling field and think specifically about the different populations and discuss the practicalities of using technologies to enhance decision-making and reduce harms. It includes some interesting topics such as:
- Facial recognition technology and AI: Balancing real time risk identification and privacy
- Thinking about older generations: Impact of loneliness, depression, fixed incomes on gambling
- Player Tracking and AI: Applying behavioural tracking to deliver right action to the player
