GIVING CONFIDENCE BACK, BEYOND THE BUILD

In hospitality, we understand the power of making people feel seen, welcome and supported. At Paynter Dixon, that belief extends beyond the venues we help build. It drives our partnership with Thread Together, an Australian charity that restores dignity by providing brand-new clothing to people experiencing hardship.

Every year, Thread Together rescues new clothing from landfill and places it directly into the hands of individuals and families navigating crisis, trauma or financial strain. For someone rebuilding their life, the right outfit can feel like a fresh start, a moment of pride and a reason to walk forward with confidence.

Our support goes far beyond financial sponsorship. Our team regularly volunteers at the Thread Together warehouse, carefully selecting clothing tailored to each person’s needs and preferences. This level of care ensures that people do not just receive clothes. They feel respected, valued and acknowledged, which strongly mirrors the hospitality spirit of community care.

“I feel very privileged and grateful to work for a company that supports and encourages us to really give back,” says Stacey Woods, Business Development Manager, who recently volunteered with the team. For many, the experience is a powerful reminder that a simple act of dignity can reshape someone’s day or even their future.

Seeing someone stand a little taller after receiving thoughtfully chosen clothing is a powerful moment. When dignity is restored, confidence follows, and with confidence comes opportunity.

Thread Together is one of the ways we support those facing hardship today. Through our partnership with the Clontarf Foundation, we also invest in the next generation by helping young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men build confidence, gain life skills and step into meaningful careers – including within construction and hospitality sectors.

These partnerships are not about corporate responsibility. They are about human responsibility. They reflect our belief that every person deserves dignity, respect and connection, regardless of where their journey began.

Because people are at the heart of every great club and every great build.
