GLOBAL GAMING WOMEN’S “PAY IT FORWARD AWARD” WINNER ANNOUNCED

Global Gaming Women (GGW) is a non-profit organisation, built to offer educational, mentorship and scholarship opportunities to women in the gaming industry.

GGW represents a network of more than 8,000 women globally, spanning casinos, hotels, lotteries, technology providers, and online gaming.

Patty Becker, a pioneer in empowering women in the industry, has an award named in her honour, the Patty Becker, Pay it Forward Award.

This accolade is given to those in the industry that have exemplified themselves through an outstanding commitment in volunteering their time, talents and resources to advance women in gaming.

One of this year’s awards has gone to the Australian Hotels Association (Vic)’s Kimberley Malcolm, the Association’s General Manager of Member Experience & Compliance.

Such a recognition holds meaningful significance for AHA (Vic) – reflecting their ongoing efforts to support inclusive leadership and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Kimberley’s vision and leadership have created a ripple effect across GGW, empowering women to grow, lead, and find their voice in the gaming industry.

Kimberley Malcolm was thrilled to receive this honour:

“Seeing the development of Global Women Gaming in Australia, and the passion of the growing cohort of women in this industry, has been a rewarding experience.”

“Gaming has historically been predominately a space for men, but through the work of countless women, we’re changing the face of what gaming is – and what it represents.”

“Just playing a role in empowering women to pursue a vibrant, rich career in gaming brings me a lot of pride, and to be acknowledged in this way is an honour.”

President of Australian Hotels Association Victoria, David Canny, was delighted that Kimberley’s hard work had been recognised:

“Being acknowledged by an international organisation such as Global Gaming Women not only validates the direction AHA Vic is moving in but also reinforces our position as a forward-thinking, people-first employer.”

“Kimberley Malcolm lives her values through an unmatched determination and passion for uplifting women in our industry – this recognition is more than deserved, and speaking on behalf of all members, we couldn’t be prouder.”
