SIMPLY THE BEST FOR WEST TAMWORTH LEAGUE CLUB RENOVATION
Paynter Dixon has commenced the transformation of West Tamworth League Club into a modern hub of hospitality and entertainment in the regional city celebrated as the ‘Capital of Country Music’.
The popular club is one of three registered venues in Wests Entertainment Group, in addition to a national-level sports stadium, sporting precinct and Mecure Hotel.
Stage 1 works are spearheaded by a new porte cochere and lobby, incorporating garden walls, water features, and drop-off entry. Further works will include new indoor and al fresco gaming lounges, along with administration facilities.
Paynter Dixon’s Strategic Development Lead for Hospitality, Andrew Neagle, highlights the importance of creating an exceptional ‘sense of arrival’ for patrons.
“We are looking at how the ‘wow’ factor will flow through the venue,” says Andrew.
Stages 2 and 3 are scheduled to commence in 2025 with the renovation of the dining areas, cafes and bars.
Heritage of hospitality
Over the years, Paynter Dixon has become synonymous with the hospitality and club sector. In celebrating 110 years in business, the family-owned company is taking stock of this legacy while also looking to the future.
Back in the 1930s, the company built countless pubs in Sydney on the behest of major brewer and asset owner, Tooth and Co. Many of them are still trading today.
Groundbreaking design concepts transformed the club sector following the Boyd family’s acquisition of Paynter Dixon in the mid-1980s. Frequent tours of the US provided the inspiration for service diversification, integrating hospitality, gaming, entertainment, accommodation and recreational facilities into new club venues.
Today, at a time when many companies face an uncertain future, Paynter Dixon offers the best of both worlds – stability and innovation within a trusted partnership.
“Paynter Dixon’s special bond with the club industry can be traced to shared community-based values,” says Andrew.
