VINNIES USED COOKING OIL RECYCLING (VUCOR)
Designed to reduce environmental footprints and drive positive social impact, the new VUCOR (Vinnies Used Cooking Oil Recycling) scheme offers hospitality venues competitive rebates for their waste oil collection.
The VUCOR (Vinnies Used Cooking Oil Recycling) is run by Vinnies in partnership with Scanline, a Cleanaway company, to collect waste cooking oil from commercial kitchens and that helps raise funds for the charity without impacting on kitchens.
VUCOR offers commercial kitchens the opportunity to have their waste oil collected by a professional company, who provide an excellent service and who supply top quality tanks and equipment free of charge.
The venue still receives a cash rebate on every litre of waste oil collected or chooses to donate the oil and gain a tax benefit.
The oil is then recycled locally in NSW into biodiesel and animal feed with Scanline paying Vinnies a generous rebate on every litre of oil collected.
By joining VUCOR your venue would be supporting Vinnies’ work in the community.
Vinnies are currently collecting around 20 tonnes of oil per month and have over 100 venues in NSW who have joined the scheme, including:
- Neil Perry – Magaret & Songbird
- Giovanni Pilu – Pilu Freshwater
- Bentley Restaurant Group – King Clarence
- Merivale, Momento & Reilly Groups
This is a great opportunity for NSW clubs and pubs to help create positive social impact while also helping the environment at no cost or loss of service levels.
