HOW ONE HOSPITALITY TEAM BUILT ITS OWN SOFTWARE ECOSYSTEM

How One Hospitality Team Built Its Own Software Ecosystem

Technology inside licensed venues has grown rapidly over the past decade.

Gaming systems, membership platforms, POS, loyalty programs and marketing tools all play an important role in the modern club or pub. But while venues have invested heavily in these systems, operators are still frustrated by disconnected platforms, manual workarounds and data that never quite lines up.

The result is extra administration, frustrated members and missed opportunities for venues. Reception staff handle processes that could be automated, marketing teams struggle to automate campaigns, and simple services like bookings or transport still rely on phone calls, spreadsheets or printed run sheets.

These were problems the team at Hospitality Mavens saw every day while working alongside clubs and pubs across Australia. Over time, they began developing internal tools to help venues streamline operations.

What started as internal solutions gradually evolved into something much bigger. The team launched Spoke Technologies in 2025 — a new software company focused entirely on building integrated technology for licensed venues.

Rather than replacing existing platforms, Spoke’s approach is to connect them. The company’s growing ecosystem integrates with many of the gaming, membership, POS and loyalty systems already used across the industry, helping venues simplify operations while improving the member experience.

The Spoke ecosystem now includes six products:

  • Go Join – Digital membership signup
Venue App – A connected member app for loyalty, rewards, promotions and bookings
Go Dine – Dining bookings built specifically for clubs and multi-outlet venues
Go Bowl – Online bookings for social and barefoot bowls
My Courtesy Bus – Courtesy bus booking and management software
Engage – A marketing automation platform connecting data across venue systems

Several of the products are already live in venues, including My Courtesy Bus, which replaces phone bookings and printed run sheets with online member bookings, driver tools and operational reporting.

Spoke Technologies will be showcasing live demonstrations of its products at the upcoming AHG Expo, where venue managers can explore how the tools integrate with existing systems and see how a connected approach to technology can simplify everyday operations inside clubs and pubs.
