IGT REBOOTS HISTORIC SUCCESS STORY – JETSETTER GOLD
In JetSetter Gold IGT has combined several of the original JetSetter game elements, with a mix of nostalgic and currently popular free game mechanics, and they have added a unique Golden Ticket feature to the mix. A new Lucky Luggage feature in the base game adds quick wins to boost entertainment levels for players.
Among the original game features that players will be very familiar with are the original city art themes with their well-known symbols and prize values, with three scattered planes that trigger a 10 free games feature. In the new JetSetter Gold version, when players land three scattered planes they have two feature options to pick from.
The games are still 25-line games and have a high hit rate for the feature of 1 in 19, with the focus on low and mid denomination play – just like the original JetSetter games. As an update, JetSetter Gold now also includes an added base game feature for instant credit prizes, and a prize collection flyover of each JetSetter feature city with a larger Grand Jackpot value than the original. The jackpots, which were initially only won with a 5 of a kind win have been expanded to now allow players to win them in the Free Games Feature, the Golden Ticket feature, and in the base game.

The Basics
JetSetter Gold is now available in Queensland and will hit New South venues in July, initially released as a Link with a Grand Jackpot choice of $10,000, $15,000 or $25,000. As a point of difference, JetSetter Gold offers a Linked Major at a $2000 start-up. Three games will be available at release in the Link including JetSetter Gold Sydney, JetSetter Gold New York (the two most popular cities in the original version) and JetSetter Gold Paris, with JetSetter Gold Tokyo to follow. The SAP versions of these JetSetter Gold games will follow the link with three titles.
Like the original JetSetter, the games are 25-line games in 1c, 2c, 5c and 10c denominations. This makes the cost to cover all 25 lines X 10c ($2.50) reachable for many players and potentially increases the average bets. It also still concentrates on those mid denomination players who drove the long-term popularity of the original JetSetter games.
Common Features
Base Game
To boost the base game for players, JetSetter Gold has introduced Lucky Luggage which offers the players a chance to win frequent credit prizes. Players must land the Gold Ticket in reel 5 to award all luggage symbols displayed in reels 1 to 4, noting there could be more than one.
All the Jackpots (Mini, Minor, Major and Grand) may also be awarded in the base game hidden inside Lucky Luggage when a Golden Ticket lands on reel 5. The Mini and Minor also appear on the Lucky Luggage as possible prizes.
Game Features
When a player achieves 3 scattered planes, they trigger a pick feature where they can choose either 10 free games or the Golden Ticket feature. The Golden Ticket feature is common across all games, but the 10 free games offer the players a point of difference.
1. 10 Free Games Feature
JetSetter Gold Sydney and JetSetter Gold New York:
JetSetter fans can choose to play the nostalgic free games and have the opportunity to win all the jackpots (Grand, Major, Minor and Mini) by landing the corresponding JetSetter, Globe, Hostess and Passport symbols as a five-of-a-kind line win.
During the free games players can retrigger 10 more free games with 3 scattered planes.
JetSetter Gold Paris
This game offers a slightly different 10 free game feature. During 10 free games luggage symbols containing credit amounts and jackpots, move across a baggage carousel above the reels. Whenever a player lands a Golden Ticket on a reel, they are awarded the amount on the luggage above that reel. Players can gain more than one golden ticket across the five reels each spin gaining more prizes from the luggage carousel above. Players can retrigger another 10 free games during the feature with 3 more planes.
JetSetter Gold Tokyo
During the 10 free games the players can trigger a hold and respin feature by landing luggage symbols on Reels 1-4 and a golden ticket on Reel 5, the same way instant prizes are awarded in the base game. The luggage symbols and Golden Ticket are then held while the reels respin to collect additional luggage symbols. Each time an extra luggage symbol lands the respins are reset to 3. The players then win the collected credit prizes and return to the free games.
Importantly, players could trigger the hold and respin feature on every free game by landing luggage symbols and the Golden Ticket on each of the 10 spins. This is a first in any game.
2. Golden Ticket Feature
The Golden Ticket feature is common to all the JetSetter Gold games and allows players to fly above their game city, collecting increasing prize amounts and jackpots during the flight.
An initial reel spin reveals the jackpots that the player is eligible for. Each jackpot symbol that lands in Reels 1-4 during the reel spin awards an individual Golden Ticket feature flyover, so if a player gains a passport (Mini Bonus eligibility) and a JetSetter (Grand Jackpot eligibility) the player has two flyovers, one for each of the jackpot amounts, and can collect credit prizes as they fly. Generally speaking, the higher the jackpot symbol in play the higher the prizes available during the flight.
