MELB’S CASTLE GROUP LAUNCHES CASTLE EVENTS
Castle Group Hospitality Establishes itself as one of Melbourne’s most unique and newest boutique hospitality groups with the business owning favourite venues in Fitzroy and Carlton and launching Castle Events.
Since taking over the operations of Arcadia Cafe in 2020, the owners have since quietly taken the reins of Añada Spanish restaurant, the vegan pub Green Man’s Arms, the Rochester Castle Hotel ‘The Rochey’ and, this month, opened hole-in-the-wall cafe Brewsmith.
Since the addition of The Rochey last August and knowing Brewsmith was in the works, the team decided it was time to establish a group for the individual venues to sit under – and so came Castle Group Hospitality. A group with diverse establishments, in Melbourne’s inner north, rather than replicating the offering over various locations.
* Arcadia – offering an all day alfresco and indoor cafe experience with breakfast classics to a twist brunch favourites and the best value bottomless brunch in town
* Añada – starts with alfresco happy hour tapas and vino from 4pm moving one of the best date night venues around with nooks for intimate dining, complemented by truly unique Spanish wines and fine food
* Green Man’s Arms – welcoming pub for everyday drinking and dining with a fully plant based menu
* Brewsmith – a hole-in-the-wall cafe with great coffee, delicious food and local goodness
* The Rochey – iconic pub serving uplifted classic pub fare, amazing happy hour and specials, alongside a live music program.
Hospitality is more than just food and service
Castle Group sees hospitality as more than just food and service, it is all about experience. When the team takes over and manages ongoing operations of a venue, anything that needs changing is switched up with the customer experience in mind. Añada’s new Vino and Tapas Happy hour with Spanish vinyls spinning to setting the eclectic vibe while The Rochey had lost its way in terms of food and entertainment and, since the takeover, has proudly launched a new menu and exceptional music program.
“We are all about creating moments that stick,” said co-owner Grant Turvey. “Castle Group is proud of its five inner north venues, each of which bring something different to the table.
“Our team is the heart and soul of the group, and we have assembled a fantastic and diverse team of chefs, managers, front and back of house staff. We put emphasis on training so that our customers have the best experience possible. I can’t wait to see where Castle Group goes in the future.”
Castle Events
In addition to the formation of the hospitality group, Castle Group has launched Castle Events. The Melbourne based brand, Castle Events creates events including music, arts, corporate, weddings and more at the group’s venues.
Castle Events has the brave ambition of providing for ‘Anything, Anywhere Anytime’, looking to create experiences that will be remembered for years to come.
All the venues except Brewsmith are all fully equipped with sound and lighting systems, private bars and some of Melbourne’s best chefs to cater for a vast array of events and occasions. The team takes events from conception to development and execution, with as much hands-on management as the client requires.
