PAYSAFEGO EVENT HIGHLIGHT: BEYOND COMPLIANCE – REPORTING ENTITY PERSPECTIVE (Q3 2026)

On 28 July 2026, PaySafeGo hosted an AML compliance focused industry event Beyond Compliance – Reporting Entity Perspective (Q3 2026) – wherein, industry leaders, compliance managers, and venue operators gathered. This half-day event brought together key stakeholders from across the Australian gaming sector to share practical insights, address evolving regulatory demands, and discuss how venues can shift from passive compliance to proactive, tech-driven AML risk management.

The day began with attendees connecting over coffee, PaySafeGo representatives Ken Carr along with Senthil Ramachandran welcoming the audience, before Paul Newson of Vanguard Overwatch delivered a regulatory reality check. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing culture over compliance theatre to ensure real accountability and C-suite oversight ahead of increased AUSTRAC scrutiny. It was a terrific start to the day, followed by a presentation of the PaySafeGo compliance suite’s ability to span every aspect of compliance. Vish Parameswaran and Ekta Desai from PaySafeGo demonstrated how their purpose-built all in one software simplifies daily operations, including digital KYC, automated risk flagging, and secure record retention.

After a brief networking break, Geoff Shanley of Wests Entertainment Group shared a real-world experience on using PaySafeGo to streamline investigations and simplify audit access, stating that they are now confident in their compliance. He also emphasised how establishing a holistic cultural framework for accountability is essential, requiring active engagement from every team member across the organization.

The event continued with a customer roundtable featuring representatives from Wests Entertainment Group, Bomaderry Bowling Club and Cabra Bowls Group, who discussed operational balances around people, policies and technology and multi-venue governance. The day concluded with a networking lunch, reinforcing the core takeaway: effective AML/CTF compliance should be embedded into daily operations rather than treated as a separate administrative burden, using integrated technology to drive efficiency and safeguard communities.

Looking Ahead

The overarching message of the day was clear – compliance is no longer just a legal burden—it is a foundation for smarter, safer, and more efficient business operations. By replacing fragmented, manual processes with integrated, purpose-built technology, Australian gaming venues can stay ahead of regulatory reform while protecting both their venues and their patrons.

PaySafeGo sincerely thanks all speakers, venue partner – Nathaniel Schryver (Cabra Bowls Group), existing customers, event attendees and PaySafeGo team who made the Q3 2026 event a success!
