Firework Game Overview

Firework is a feature-rich game family designed to engage players with multiple layers of entertainment, centred around a classic Hold ‘N’ Spin mechanic – with a unique twist: a Hold & Spin feature, (the Bagua Feature) within the actual Hold & Spin Feature itself.

The Bagua Feature gives players the chance to win Jackpots and Bonuses, plus additional cash on reel prizes.  With two distinct Free Game Features that also offer further chances to trigger the Hold & Spin Feature, the Firework game series is packed with opportunities to keep players engaged and entertained. The Firework Challenge is offered to players at the end of every feature and allows for extended gameplay with “Gamble Quest 2.0”, a refreshed and more sophisticated version of the mechanic that existed in the Balloon Link & Loot family. The Firework Challenge provides players the opportunity to gamble individual feature prizes that could result in an enhanced win, a draw, or a loss.

The Basics

IGT’s new Firework series is available on IGT’s PeakDual27 cabinet, with four game titles: Festival of Lights, Enchanted Moon, Water Dragons (a clone of Festival of Lights), and Treasure of The Orient (a clone of Enchanted Moon).

Denominations

The Firework games include 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, $1 and a $2 denomination option for NSW only.

Link Jackpot range

The Firework Link startup options are $10,000, $15,000 and $25,000 for both NSW and QLD, with the SAP startups at $5,000 or $7,500.

The Link options are O-Link compatible so they can sit under the same link as Outgrow, Portal, Balloon and Extra Extra Chance Link titles.

Game Features:

A Hold & Spin feature, the Bagua Feature, within a Hold & Spin feature, gives these games a point of difference.  The main features are common to all four games in the series.

Classic Hold ‘n Spin

When six scattered Fireworks land on the reels, they trigger a classic Hold & Spin feature, where each new prize symbol resets the respin count to three. At the end of the feature, players are given a choice – either take their Firework win or enter the Firework Challenge.

The Bagua Feature

The Bagua Feature is triggered when a player lands the “Bagua” symbol, either during the Hold & Spin Feature or as part of the initial 6 symbol trigger.  The distinctive bonus activates once the initial Hold & Spin Feature ends. All collected cash-on-reel prizes, shift to the top screen, setting the stage for a second, visually striking gameplay experience. The Hold & Spin element unfolds within a circular, clustered reel layout known as the Bagua—made up of eight outer segments and a central Major Jackpot reel.

In the surrounding Bagua segments, players may land cash-on-reel fireworks and/or bonus prizes, all operating under the classic Hold & Spin rules. Fill all 8 positions to win the Bagua Jackpot. In the central reel, only the Major Jackpot prize is available providing players with even more opportunities. Any additional wins collected in the Bagua are added to the prizes on the top screen when no respins remain, building towards a more substantial payout. Players are again given the option to either collect their total win or enter the Firework Challenge for a chance to increase their rewards even further.

Free games

In all titles, the Free Games Feature is triggered by landing three or more scatters. Players are awarded 6,9 or 15 free games for landing 3, 4 or 5 scatters respectively.

Festival of Lights and Water Dragons

During free games, players can land green bordered positions on any spin which will reveal either WILDs or cash-on-reel prizes. This provides opportunities for additional line wins or collect six firework cash-on-reels to activate the classic Hold & Spin feature. Any line wins or cash-on-reels awarded during the feature accumulate in the top screen. At the end of free games, players can either take their total Firework win or enter the Firework Challenge for a chance to enhance their reward.

Enchanted Moon and Treasure of the Orient

During this round, the goal is to land cash-on-reels prizes on screen which have the potential to split into between two and six cash-on-reels. Collect six scattered Firework cash-on-reel symbols to trigger the Hold & Spin feature. Additionally, any line wins during free games are converted into Firework symbols carrying their credit value, which are then transferred to the top screen. This creates multiple opportunities for players to build their prize pool before collecting their wins or entering the Firework Challenge.

Firework Challenge (Gamble Quest 2.0)

In the Firework Challenge, players are presented with a collection of cash-on-reel Fireworks in the top screen based on the wins they collected during either of the features.

Players can then choose any firework to gamble, with up to 5 gamble attempts. Firework Challenge is presented as a reel spin – a point of different in Gamble Quest 2.0. Landing two fireworks rewards the player with an additional firework of equal value, giving them more to play with. However, the reel position is blank, the player forfeits that specific cash value. Landing a single firework results in a draw.

Importantly, players can opt out of the challenge at any time, locking in their remaining winnings. This gamble-style mechanic offers a dynamic blend of risk and reward, making every decision count.

Market Match

IGT’s Ballon games were very popular among a wide range of players and the Firework game family provides a similar feature experience with a little more sophistication, adding entertainment and value for all players. The layered feature wins will be very popular among both regular players, and the mid to high tier players will see value in the Hold & Spin feature within a Hold & Spin feature, so a mid-floor high traffic area will suit most gaming room set-ups for either the Link or SAP versions of the Firework games.
