BANKTECH ACQUIRES GLOBAL GAMING

The Banktech Group Pty Ltd), one of Australia’s leading payment technology businesses, is diversifying its offering with the purchase of gaming services business, Global Gaming Industries.

The acquisition was officially acquired by Utopia Gaming Systems, Banktech’s gaming systems division. Global Gaming has been a leading player in gaming systems for over 25 years offering a range of gaming management, analytical and loyalty systems. They have had a strong presence in the pub and small club market, especially in NSW.

Banktech, who deal in ATMs, CRTs, and safes, will create a cross-selling portfolio of products and services for their business with the purchase of Global Gaming – a process started in 2014 with the establishment of Utopia Gaming Systems.

Since then, Utopia Gaming Systems has become a licensed monitoring operator in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and the ACT, with licenses are pending in other states.

“Global Gaming Industries is a strong business,” states David Glen, group managing director of Banktech. “It has a well-established technology platform, plus a dedicated team that will continue to develop new products and deepen our group’s relationship with the hospitality and gaming industries.”

Global Gaming Industries will operate as an independent branded division of Utopia Gaming Systems.
