CMAA NATIONAL MANAGERS CONFERENCE – JULY
The CMAA’s National Managers Conference is back and it’s shaping up to be the most insightful event on the professional club management calendar. Running from Tuesday 22 July to Thursday 24 July, this industry gathering is more than a conference—it’s a masterclass in leadership, innovation, and industry insights.
Day One: A Grand Opening
The conference kicks off with an evening of connection at the Conference Dinner & Networking event on Tuesday evening. From 6:00pm to 10:30pm, attendees can enjoy good food, great conversation, and the opportunity to strengthen bonds with peers and partners from across the country.
Day Two: Inspiration from Global Thought Leaders
Wednesday’s agenda is packed with interesting speakers. The day begins with the CMAA Members Meeting (8:30am–9:30am), before rolling into a lineup of keynote speakers designed to challenge perspectives and spark transformation.
Dr Louise Mahler opens with The Currency of Trust, an eye-opening session on the power of interpersonal excellence in an increasingly digital world. Globally recognised for her expertise in body language and communication, Dr Mahler equips leaders with practical tools to rebuild trust in both personal and professional arenas.
Following that, Brad Twynum brings the future into sharp focus in Radical Innovation: Welcome to the Age of Smart Intelligence. Going beyond ChatGPT and the usual AI buzzwords, Twynum dives deep into how AI is reshaping the very fabric of leadership. With a message that’s both urgent and empowering, he reframes AI not as a tech challenge, but a human one.
The keynote momentum continues throughout the day with Darren Isenberg on Individual Influence, and mental health advocate Matthew Johnstone, who will present Tough & Up, a powerful exploration of resilience and personal strength.
The evening wraps up with another chance to mingle at the Conference Dinner & Networking—a second opportunity to connect and reflect with fellow delegates in a relaxed setting.
Day Three: Industry Insights and Gaming Intelligence
Thursday morning shifts gears to a sharp industry focus. Hostplus kicks things off with a forward-looking Hospitality Industry Economic Outlook, followed by a data-rich Gaming Industry Update from CMAA’s research partner Wohlsen. This session unpacks performance metrics, survey insights, and emerging trends across the gaming and club sectors.
The conference concludes with the Terry O’Halloran Gaming Panel & Performance Insights, a deep-dive discussion featuring club managers and leading gaming manufacturers. This panel will explore jurisdictional trends, performance innovations, and the key developments set to influence club operations in the coming year.
