Game of the Quarter

THE DROP TEST DRIVES IGT’S HOT STUFF

The Hot Stuff game series is IGT’s latest innovation in Hold and Spin Wheel Feature gameplay. Designed for medium to high volatility play, this colourful and vibrant series delivers an entertainment led experience that balances the entertainment with rewarding wins, appealing to a broad range of players seeking fun with the chance of a meaningful prize. The Hot Stuff games offer a classic Hold and Spin Feature, with a second level that introduces the Spicy Wheel Feature with the potential to increase the value of the player’s wins. A premium level Major Prize Wheel gives players a chance to improve a Major Jackpot win into a higher-level jackpot.

The Basics

Games: The four games are available in the Hot Stuff series as either Link or SAP games, Which Witch?, Totally Tut, Doublin’ Doubloon, and Gold Fever.

Denomination: 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, $1 and $2 (for NSW only)

Cabinet: All four games are available as both Link and SAP in the PeakDual27.

Link Jackpots

The Hot Stuff Link startup options are $10,000, $15,000, $25,000, $50,000 and $75,000 (in NSW/ACT) with all four games available for the Link. The SAP startup is available at $6,500, $7,500, and $8,000 (in QLD).

Hot Stuff Multi-level Hold and Spin Feature

The feature sequence is common to all the Hot Stuff games. It is initiated when players land six or more Cash-on-Reel or Yellow Chilli symbols, triggering a classic Hold and Spin feature. During these feature spins, if five Chilli symbols are collected across the screen, the game advances to the next level: the Hot Stuff Feature. This secondary feature commences once the initial respins conclude, extending the feature cycle rather than replacing it.

At this stage, the Spicy Wheel Feature activates in the top screen, and awards prize ranges to all current and future Chillis landed. The wheel determines the upgrade level of the chillis accumulated during the Hold and Spin round as Sweet, Hot or Smokin’ heat levels. Each tier increases prize values accordingly from Sweet Chillis (1-4 X bet), Hot Chillis (5-10 X bet), up to the hottest level Smokin’ Chillis (11-50 X bet).

Smokin’ Chillis also carry the potential to award the Minor Jackpot. In addition, if the Major Jackpot symbol is collected during the Hold and Spin feature, a dedicated Major Wheel Feature is triggered, awarding either the Major Jackpot or upgrading the outcome to a higher jackpot win.

Free games

In all four games the free games are triggered by landing three scatter symbols.

In Which Witch and Totally Tut – Players are presented with a selection screen where they choose the “Spiciness Level” for their bonus. Each option offers a different configuration of free spins, chilli prize ranges and multiplier settings, or a mystery choice. This structure allows players to determine the volatility profile of their free games feature.

Doublin’ Doubloon and Gold Fever
During the free games special x2 symbols may land, revealing either Wild symbols with x2 multipliers or Cash-on-Reel symbols that will apply a x2 multiplier if the Hold and Spin feature is subsequently triggered. Free games can be retriggered with the addition of two scatter symbols.

Market Match

These mid-high volatility games have a 1 in 65 feature hit rate which will appeal to mid-tier and regular gamers. They have been designed with bright and fun art themes, in entertaining games, that will still give players the potential for an elevated win through the Hold and Spin Wheel Feature. These games will work well in a high-traffic area inside on the main gaming floor.

In the Hot Stuff game series, the multi-level mechanic, (which moves from the classic Hot Stuff Hold and Spin, and potentially into the Spicy Wheel Feature and, where triggered, the Major Wheel Feature), creates a tiered bonus pathway that incrementally increases prize potential rather than relying on a single outcome event. These colourful games, with the Sweet, Hot and Smokin’ Chilli heat levels (prize tiers) adding fun to the games, teamed with enhanced prize potential through wheel-based upgrades and jackpot opportunities, will deliver strong player engagement.
