THE DROP TEST DRIVES IGT’S RISING ROCKETS

IGT’s Rising Rockets series introduces two new SAP titles to the floor, Rising Rockets Empress and Rising Rockets Emperor. Presented on the PeakCurve49 cabinet and supported by SAP start-ups of $5,000 and $8,000, the games are designed as medium-to-high volatility entertainment experiences aimed squarely at regular venue patrons seeking engaging gameplay and fun feature moments.

These titles have already proven highly popular in Asian and US markets and are expected to resonate with a similar player demographic in Australian venues, particularly those who have enjoyed the strong performance of games in the very popular Mystery of the Lamp series. The gameplay centres on a colourful dragon-and-rocket mechanic, where players collect coloured dragons that contribute to corresponding rockets at the top screen, unlocking a series of feature events built around Hold and Spin gameplay.

The Basics

Games: Two SAP games are available in the Rising Rockets series; Rising Rockets Emperor and Rising Rockets Empress.

Denomination: 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c.

Cabinet: The Rising Rockets games are available as SAP games in the PeakCurve49.

Link Jackpots: The games are available with Grand Jackpot options of $5,000 or $8,000

Hold and Spin Feature

A key mechanic in the game revolves around players collecting coloured Dragons that correspond with rockets displayed towards the top of the screen. Each dragon collected contributes to its matching rocket, creating an interesting visible element that keeps players watching the collection mechanic, and has the potential to trigger its corresponding rocket at any stage. To guarantee a rocket feature activation, players must land any part of the rocket on Reel 5 together with a green, pink or blue dragon, with each colour unlocking a different feature path. Features can be triggered individually or in combination.

Green dragons activate the Prize Boost feature, where rockets carrying multipliers of x2, x3, x5 and x10 are launched randomly across the screen to boost Cash on Reel (COR) wins.

Pink dragons trigger the Big Bang feature, which spins a rocket wheel to determine how many feature screens will open for the Hold and Spin bonus. Depending on the outcome, two, three or four screens can be activated, each running its own independent Hold and Spin feature with separate respin counts.

Blue dragons trigger the Spin Boost feature, which enhances the Hold and Spin mechanic by activating all feature screens with four respins instead of the traditional three. This subtle adjustment increases feature longevity and adds an additional layer of interest for players.

Importantly, the feature design allows players to continue collecting dragons throughout the respins, potentially triggering a combination win of more than one of the feature types. This means additional rockets, and potentially further features, can be triggered while the feature sequence is already in play, creating the opportunity for extended bonus sequences and heightened player excitement. For venues, this layered feature structure combines familiar Hold and Spin gameplay with multiple feature pathways designed to sustain interest on the gaming floor.

Market Match

Best suited to a mid-floor high traffic position in the main gaming room, the Rising Rockets games keep the experience deliberately straightforward, with all of the action centred on the base game and the rocket-driven feature mechanics.

Rather than relying on multiple layers of complexity, the design focuses on building anticipation through the collection of dragons and the ignition of rockets, creating clear and entertaining feature moments. The simple design and distinct feature variations create an easy-to-follow gameplay experience that many regular players will quickly understand and enjoy.
