THE DROP TEST DRIVES IGT’S MYSTERY OF THE LAMP
The Mystery of the Lamp games, Treasure Oasis & Enchanted Palace, are SAP games designed for IGT’s Peak Curve 49 cabinet. Both of these games are strong international performing games that have been locally tailored by IGT’s Australian game studio. The games include locally trending features, such as a Hold ‘n Spin bonus feature, with the main focus on the three different ‘Pots’ that trigger the Hold ‘n Spin and offer the player up to 3 pots that can combine for more chances to win. The ‘Ignite’ Pot offers a cash on reel credit prize that continues to increase with each respin. The ‘Double’ Pot awards a x2 multiplier to cash on reel credit prizes on the screen and the ‘Jackpot’ Pot introduces a second 3 x 5 reel with the chance to collect and match more Gems to award jackpot prizes.
The Basics
Denominations
The two Mystery of the Lamp games include 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, $1 and a $2 denomination option (for NSW only)
SAP Jackpot Startups
The Mystery of the Lamp SAP games offer startup options of $5,500 and $7,500 for both NSW and QLD. The entire focus of these games is on the ‘pots’ and regular players will see an advantage to this feature. For this reason, the higher SAP jackpot will provide the best excitement level for those players.
Game Feature
Mystery of the Lamp is a true Hold ‘n Spin only game series, and the Hold ‘n Spin experience changes for players dependent on individual ‘pot’ feature mechanics. The pots can combine to boost a player’s opportunities in the feature, but the players will love that all the wins come through this one area of the game maths while still allowing for variety in their play.
Hold ‘n Spin Feature:
To enter the hold ‘n spin feature players need to land coloured gems onscreen to give them an opportunity to activate the three pots onscreen. The gems collect, visually shown by the pile of coins growing beneath the pots, until a player triggers one or more of the 3 pots and opens up a Hold ’n Spin window.
‘Ignite’ Pot
Players Landing a red gem onscreen provides Cash on Reel credit prize which continuously increases with each spin. Players can gain the red gem at any stage during the Hold ‘n Spin feature but they will love it when they get them early and continue increasing throughout their free spins.
‘Double’ Pot
The ‘Double’ Pot is triggered by players landing the pink gem. The hold ‘n Spin window opens and players attempt to land more pink gems anywhere onscreen to gain Cash on Reel wins. More importantly, the ‘Double’ x2 multiplier can hit any of the onscreen prizes, and even hit the same prize repeatedly. which means players can gain multiple ‘double ups’ of the wins they have already gained.
‘Jackpot’ Pot
When players land the white gems the Jackpot Pot can be triggered. For this feature players gain a 6 x 5 set of reels onscreen, instead of a standard 3 x 5 set of reels. Players just need to land the white gems and match 3 in the counter under each jackpot or bonus to be awarded that jackpot or bonus. The white gems will also turn into Cash on Reel credit amounts during the Hold ‘n’ Spin feature.
Combination Pots
All of these individual pots in the Hold ‘n Spin feature provide great excitement for the players, but they can also have up to 3 pots active at the same time! So, players can gain the 6 x 5 reel configuration of the Jackpot Pot, where they can match credits for jackpots, as well as increasing cash on reel amounts at each spin from the Ignite Pot, and can also double up in the Double Pot with a x 2 multiplier. This depends on the pots that are active and the colour of the gems they land during their spins.
The win rollup is also fast at the end of the Hold ’n Spin feature so players aren’t hanging around waiting to see what they have won and can get straight back into the game.
One of the features I really love about this game is that there are no additional free game series here, so players will understand that all the wins are in the Hold ‘n Spin feature triggered by the Pots. The players will enjoy this as it puts the main focus for this game on achieving that Pot trigger!
