CLUB AWARDED NATIONAL WHITE RIBBON BUSINESS ACCREDITATION

Last Friday the Castle Hill RSL Group were awarded National White Ribbon Business Accreditation at a special ceremony in Melbourne. They are the only Hospitality Group to receive full accreditation across all of their four venues and the second of only two clubs in Australia, along with Blacktown Workers. They join 80 business groups nationally in this recognition.

The accreditation follows a submission along stringent guidelines and was part of a three-year plan working with local corporate and community partners and the NSW Police. The Club had to demonstrate effective leadership, resource allocation, communication, HR Policy development and training to create a safer and more respectful workplace. They also had to provide evidence of a commitment to gender equality and supporting their employees to be respectful across all spheres.

On average, at least one woman in Australia is killed each week by a current or former partner. The key to the White Ribbon Social Movement is the engagement of men in the prevention of violence against women.  Through their accreditation, Castle Hill RSL will assist in providing education, awareness raising, creative campaigns, and preventative programs to ensure their workplace and community is safe and their kids are well-schooled on all the values of the White Ribbon campaign.
