G2E ASIA 2017 SETS ATTENDANCE RECORDS & ALL THE AWARD WINNERS

The 11th annual Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia wrapped up last week in Macau and according to organisers, the event welcomed approximately 14,000 visitors from across 90 countries, making it the largest ever.

Organised by the American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions and this year’s event featured nearly 200 exhibitors and took place at the Venetian Macau. A strong focus of this year’s show was the number or products and services related to online gaming.

Deemed as the marketplace for the Asian Gaming Industry Galaxy Entertainments Francis Lui opened the Day 1 sessions with his keynote address on Asian Markets.  He spoke about the potential of Macau as the world centre of entertainment and leisure.  He also mentioned China as the number one tourism source in the world and the astonishing amount of money Chinese travellers spent.  He also recognised that every country in the world is targeting them.

Coinciding with the show is the 2nd Asia Gaming Awards held at the Parisian Macau. The award show recognises achievements from Asia’s land-based operators, suppliers and entrepreneurs.

The Awards also crowned MGM China as the company with the most meaningful contribution in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), as well as a total of three “Emerging Leaders” – entrepreneurs, innovators and industry shakers seen as likely to shape the industry over the years to come.
