IGT’s cashless solution is live in NSW across all 110 EGMs at Club York in Sydney’s CBD, as part of the state government’s trials – topical for all venue operators in relation to the cashless solution space and potential future regulatory requirements.
This locally developed solution is created on the back of already tested and proven IGT global product, providing IGT with a competitive advantage in having the right technology to develop a seamless solution that suits the Australian market requirements.
There are significant differences with IGT’s locally tailored solution, with the primary difference being one less step in the funding process than the existing international IGT Resort Wallet. “It is important to ensure that digital wallets work in a way Aussies are already used to,” said John van Waard IGT’s Director of Systems Product & Sales for AsiaPac. “And that is to replicate the payment process already in use on sports betting apps”.
At AGE the IGT Systems team will demonstrate the digital wallet sign-up journey including app download, one-step wallet deposit from a debit card, establishing harm minimisation parameters, tap on to play at the gaming machine and transferring funds between machines, and back to a bank account. This simple and intuitive digital wallet application provides flexibility to players and venues alike.
