NEW MARKETING APPOINTMENTS AT MERIVALE

Merivale has promoted Commercial Development Manager Andrew El-Bayeh to marketing director in a move which includes a renewed focus on content creation.

El-Bayeh joined Merivale in 2011 as group venue marketing manager and was instrumental in overseeing new venue openings and integrated brand campaigns.

He was promoted to commercial development manager in 2014 and as marketing director will lead the marketing, creative and production departments.

A specific focus will be developing Merivale’s customer experience, data strategy and content publishing.

El-Bayeh said: “I have an innate passion for the hospitality industry and am thrilled to be leading brand strategy during what is undoubtedly the most exciting period of growth for the group.

“I am constantly inspired by the evolving landscape of digital and content marketing; and look forward to working alongside my passionate colleagues to engage our audiences in new and innovative ways.

Sarah Ranawake will spearhead a new division within the marketing department as head of content, and will report into El-Bayeh.

Ranawake has a decade of editorial experience, including roles as partner and editorial director at Sporteluxe.com, features director at Cleo, entertainment editor at InStyle and editor of Vacations & Travel Magazine.

She will be responsible for overseeing Merivale’s content strategy online, social and video.
