NEW ONLINE DATE FOR CMAA’S AGM

As advised via email on Monday 16th March 2020, the Club Managers’ Association, Australia (the Association) was forced to postpone its Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for Tuesday 17th March 2020 at the Brisbane Convention Centre, Queensland.

It is a compliance requirement for the Association to hold its AGM prior to the end of June each year; so to achieve this; the rescheduled AGM will be held as follows:

RESCHEDULED AGM DATE

Date: Thursday 28th May 2020
Time: 9am
Where: online

The Association’s Executive will Chair the AGM via an online video conference which will allow for your attendance and participation in line with Rule 11 (a)(g) of the Association’s Rules.

In accordance with the compliance requirements of the Registered Organisation’s Commission, the Financial Report previously issued (dated: 24th February 2020) still stands as the provision of the financial reports for the ‘Rescheduled AGM Date’. Questions relating to the accounts also closed on 9th March 2020, in line with the original date for March.

Instructions on how to access the AGM will be provided to you closer to the date and will be sent to your nominated email address on our membership system.

Please note though, this date is based on the possibility that Government restrictions will be either relaxed or lifted to allow for; 1) Executive Members to travel domestically to allow for an in person meeting, and 2) the number of people permitted to meet in a confined space in line with social distancing requirements.

We look forward to seeing you all online at the AGM in what will be a “first” for the Association.

Regards

Allan Peter
