CLUB OFFERS NEW PRIVATE BREWING EXPERIENCE
For anyone who has ever dreamed of brewing their own craft beer but has no idea where to start, Bankstown Sports Club is offering a private brewing experience through their Basement Brewhouse. It gives people an opportunity to gather knowledge and expert advice on everything there is to know about beer.
The club is pitching the experience at members and guests for birthdays, corporate team bonding sessions or for individuals who want to expand their personal knowledge about craft beer. Each private brewing session can cater for 2-10 people and bookings are available from Monday – Saturday in two time slots – either 11.30am and 3.30pm.
The sessions last three and a half hours and are led by Head Brewer who hosts a tour of the microbrewery & discusses brewing ingredients, processes and beer styles. Participants enjoy some food and beverages before having the opportunity to create their own beer which can either be tapped in the Basement Brewhouse bar for everyone to enjoy, or canned for them to enjoy at home.
A successful venture for Bankstown Sports Club, the Basement Brewhouse has just tapped its 100th batch of beer. Simcoe Black IPA is a hybrid of two styles; a Brown Porter and an India Pale Ale, which combines citrus, pine, toffee and chocolate flavour characteristics. Pairs perfectly with grilled meats and BBQ pork.
