SCORCHIN FORTUNE FIRES UP!
The much-anticipated Scorchin Fortune has been released and it’s the first Aristocrat multigame pack of hold and spin titles to hit the market in NSW and QLD. There are three new hold and spin games included in the pack: Gold of the Nile, Sky Temple and Tiki Blast, which is a benefit in itself, with new games to freshen up the hold and spin selection in any venue. As a multigame pack, Scorchin Fortune will be the perfect replacement for some of the ageing Players Choice games still in pubs and clubs across the country and as it highlights the most popular game feature in the market, the hold and spin feature, it’s an easy fit for any venue.
The Choices
Scorchin Fortune is offered exclusively in the MarsX machine for NSW and QLD clubs and pubs with a 50 cent minimum bet in a multi-denomination configuration including 1c, 2c, 10c, $1, plus the important $2 in NSW. There’s a $10 maxbet on the higher denominations.
Managers can choose an $8,000 or $5,000 start-up on the Grand Jackpot, with a $500 start up on the Major Jackpot. The game also includes two scalable bonuses: the Minor Bonus is $25 on the 1 cent game but lifts to $1,250 for the $1 player while the Mini increases from $10 to $500. There is plenty here for the traditional hotel player and high tier club gamer.
The Games
Gold of the Nile uses the popular Egyptian art theme and only three pyramids trigger the free games. During the free games all the wilds are x2 or x3 multipliers. In fact, they can combine across the reels to create wins for the player of up to x18 per line. Gold of the Nile includes a standard Hold and Spin feature.
Tiki Blast is another familiar art theme for players where the free games are triggered by three volcanos. Once the feature is triggered, the player is given a choice between 15 free games with nudging wilds with a tiki symbol that expands across all three positions on the reel. Or, the player can choose 8 free games with a cash on reel nudge that expands across all positions on the centre reels.
Tiki Blast has the traditional Hold and Spin feature but with a twist. When an “Extra Feature” symbol lands during the hold and spin feature, at the end of the feature another set starts immediately with six or more cash on reel amounts as a starting point. If a hold and spin feature starts with 8 or more cash on reels symbols, then any extra that are won are at least 5x your bet.
Sky Temple is unique in that it only has a hold and spin feature – no free games. For the player this reduces the amount of time spent in a feature and will be popular among hotel gamers, and higher tier club players. The game has the traditional hold and spin feature but if a blue cash on reel symbol lands during the feature its value becomes the sum of all the cash on reel symbols currently on the screen, leading to bigger wins for the players in the feature. This game also includes a random hold and spin feature when 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 cash on reel symbols appear to help trigger the feature.
