What is your biggest or has been your biggest challenge with the club and your role?

One of my biggest challenges (there have been many by the way) was to remove discounts and adopt a value-added model and of course to ‘survive’ the process as well.  No mean feat let me tell you!

What have been some of your achievements or highlights since being at the club?

Getting debt to manageable levels, achieving a positive cash flow, leading a team who are committed, passionate and customer focussed, being part of a Board whose focus is on the strategic.

Is there a piece of advice or something compelling you have learnt that you can pass on to our readers and up and coming managers?

Have goals, write them down and put a date on them. Oh, and make sure the goals you set have some ‘stretch’ in them!

Outside of the club and your role there. Do you have any hobbies or passions…tell us a bit about you?

My family are my life. I love a good Margaret River Shiraz, particularly when served with an aged grain fed porterhouse steak – cooked rare. All types of fishing and scuba diving anywhere in the world.
