AGE 2017 – WELCOME TO DAY 1!

The much anticipated 2017 Australasian Gaming Expo is finally here. Welcome to the Expo and welcome to the 100th edition of The Drop. We will be previewing highlights each day of the show.

  • Day one of the AGE kicks off with the official opening by Paul Newson Deputy Secretary Liquor, Gaming and Office of Racing and a Welcome to Country by Uncle Allen Edwards. This will take place at approximately 9.50am just in front of the “It’s Show Time” sign in the entrance zone.
  • The sold-out seminar’s program starts at 12 noon on Level 3. For those attending, today’s program is as follows:

12:00pm – 1:00pm  – Venues .     Current and future trends; what these mean for the future of hospitality venues. 

1:00pm – 2:00pm – Research.     Overview of domestic and international gambling research and its implications. 

2:00pm – 3:00pm – Casinos.     15 or more new Integrated Resort Developments are likely to open in the Asia-Pacific region in the next 5 years.

3:00pm – 4:00pm – Technology.     Key technology issues and trends; how they will impact on the industry.

4:00pm – 5:00pm – Cash.     ‘NexGen banking’; cash recycling, operational efficiencies, cash management and trends around the world; current and future trends; how they will impact on the industry.

  • The Las Vegas draw for all those attending day one will take place at 3pm. Good luck to all attendees.
  • If you have an exhibitors badge, there will be a welcome drink at the exhibitor’s cocktail party at 5pm – 6.30pm. Ross Ferrar CEO of the Gaming Technologies Association will announce the winner of the Best Stand Award at the party with the winner receiving a free 3 x 3 shell stand for 2018.
