MICHAEL O’SULLIVAN AWARDED RARE LIFE MEMBERSHIP OF CMAA
There is no better way to say it:
Here is the recent speech by Federal President David Hiscox on the 2019 Life Member award:
I would like to take this opportunity to perform one of the most satisfying and rewarding duties a President of the CMAA has to perform.
That duty is to present to a CMA member, in front of their peers and friends, the prestigious and rarely conferred …… Life Member of the Club Managers’ Association Australia recognition award.
The recipient this evening is only the 27th Life Member of the CMAA in over 60 years, this demonstrates the commitment needed to be recognised for this award
The person who will receive this award today is someone who has served the Association in an exemplary fashion and in many honorary positions.
This person joined the CMA in 1985 when they started work at Miranda RSL and what followed was many years of involvement with the Association whilst progressing and developing a distinguished career as a professional club manager.
This person has served the Association in many guises including as:
The inaugural Zone Education manager of the St George Cronulla Sutherland zone, he continued on the Zone committee serving as Vice President and President.
In 2008 he was elected to the Federal Executive, during his 9 years on the executive he held the position of Vice President of the Association.
This person has always given his time to support the Association tirelessly by promoting its value, its relevance and its importance to the many younger managers mentored and developed across a range of clubs and those who look to this person as a role model.
I would ask CMA Member 2742 and who now is the Secretary Manager of Milton & Ulladulla Bowing Club.
It is an honour to congratulate and present this award to Mr Michael O’Sullivan ACCM.
