PUB NEWS: REDCAPE BUYS AUSTRALIAN HOTEL & BREWERY
The Colosimo family-run Momento Hospitality Group has sold the Australian Hotel and Brewery at Rouse Hill to the Redcape Hotel Group for a deal worth reportedly $50 million.
It is the second western Sydney acquisition for Redcape in as many days, following on from the purchase of the Vauxhall in Granville for around $40 million. They are two of Sydney’s biggest pub deals this year.
The Colosimo family have grown the brewery business over two decades, winning a swag of awards as well as exporting to a number of overseas markets along the way. They will remain in the brewery business with Redcape fostering through its considerable resources, including the distribution of its craft beers through its 30 pubs nationally.
The large-format hotel is set on 1.3 hectares and has a 2,500sqm trading footprint which includes a bistro, lounge and public bars, function space, gaming and wagering facilities, a beer garden, a children’s play area and extensive parking.
The Momento Group also operate the Bella Vista Hotel, the Hillside Hotel and the soon to be opened Governor Hotel in Macquarie Park.
