BLI BLI HOTEL LAUNCHES FEATURING ALFRESCO ROOFTOP-STYLE DINING

The highly anticipated Bli Bli Hotel launched on Monday 30th October by Maeva Hospitality, featuring a modern bistro and bar that extends to a Mediterranean inspired rooftop style terrace and a lush tropical garden-style events space.

The hotel spans across three levels, each space has a distinct identity that has been carefully created to cater for people from all walks of life. It features a kids’ play area adjacent to the bistro, vibrant sports bar and downstairs a dedicated gaming lounge and bar.

The modern bistro with high ceilings adjoins a terrace with an open-air retractable roof. The decor nods towards the Australian bush, the Mediterranean and the Sonoran Desert. In the centre of the space sits a four-meter pink blossom tree next to the private dining table, a space just perfect for a social occasion function.

The launch of the new development, Bli Bli Hotel, marks the launch of Maeva Hospitality, formerly Sunshine Coast Hotels, who have a longstanding history of hospitality on the Coast with venues such as Parklands Tavern, Brightwater Hotel, Baringa Tavern and The Lakehouse Sunshine Coast.

Scott Armstrong, Director of Maeva Hospitality, is delighted to bring the venue to life in partnership with the Deery family, owners of the iconic Story Bridge Hotel and the Woodford Hotel.

“This venue is a testament to the collective support of the Sunshine Coast community, and we are thrilled its finally arrived. We are most proud of this venue’s ability to service individuals from all walks of life. The sports bar is designed to be the ultimate destination for sports enthusiast to cheer for their favourite teams. The rooftop terrace offers a relaxing atmosphere where both locals and visitors can enjoy shared plates and signature cocktails. While our private function room, Parakeet, has been curated for all event types with capacity for up to 200 guests”, he said.

Bli Bli Hotel has an eclectic style menu, curated by Group Executive Chef, Damien Grimes. Damien draws inspiration from the diversity of Australian flavours using high quality ingredients sourced from local suppliers.

The kitchen’s centrepiece is a live-fire grill with highlights including: ‘Wood roasted local prawns’, ‘Wood roasted chicken shish’ and a selection of premium steaks. The smoky, wood-infused touch adds an elevated twist to the classic pub fare, setting Bli Bli Hotel apart from a regular pub offering.

The venue also offers a wide range of pub classics and a comprehensive kids menu that will see pub food being taken up a notch, whilst still offering an impressive selection of woodfired pizzas and schnitzels.

Designer Diana Challinor, responsible for all of the group’s venues, has designed the Bli Bli Hotel as a haven with palettes of terracotta, limewash, sage blues, pinks and peaches.

Bespoke décor and furnishings can be found throughout, with glazed tiles, hand-blown glass chandeliers and hand-printed Australian bush wallpaper. With no sterile stainless steel and chrome in sight, a symphony of natural textures will provide a home away from home.
