What is, or has been, your biggest challenge with the Club?
Club Marconi is in a highly competitive area and includes some of the biggest players in the industry. It is always a challenge making sure we stay relevant to our community and continue to deliver value for money when you are up against stiff competition.
What has been some of your achievements or highlights since being at the club?
Changing the cultures within a culture has been a real highlight.
Also having helped delivered the biggest gaming growth the Club has ever seen with record net profit and record net machine revenue. In 2013 the club ranked 31, this year we are 18.
What’s the best pieces of advice you’ve learnt and you’d like to share?
Never stop learning and developing yourself, be open to ideas and new, better way of doing things. Do as many courses as you can through the CMAA. Learn, borrow ideas, reinvent, stay relevant to your target audience, community
Tell us a bit about yourself outside of the Club industry.
I love the outdoors – Trekking, running, that sort of thing. I also like travelling and networking.
